About
Impermanence/无常 is a Buddhist concept about the intrinsic and unescapable randomness of our daily lives. In this project, I want to bridge this concept with the random walker algorithm.
It is not that hard to draw the analogy between the impermanence and the trail of the walker whose life is determined by nothing but a random number. As I put more walkers into the program, their trails start to form patterns that seem to defy their own random natures. I found this emergence fascinating. Are all those orders, patterns, frameworks, in our world just byproducts of the intrinsic randomness of our daily lives, a facade that covers the void of the Impermanence?
